Hello every one!

If you guys are planning to make your audio collection for your or your client's website & MP3s & you are facing problem for Size vs quality, means if you increase quality, size also increase & vice versa. Then i have a solution for this situation,i.e. feather weight FLVs. For this tutorial, Flash comm server is needed.
Open up your volume controler (normally found at the right side on your task bar with a yellow speaker icon), click on the option menu & choose properties, you will be seeing be default the properties for Playback, below Playback, there is another bullet labeled as RECORDING & the last one is Other, click on the Recording bullet, select all the options & press ok, now you will be watching properties of your Mic. Select the option called Wave (or Wave out).

Open up your favourite media player, point out to the song(regardless of format, it can be MP3, wav, avi ,mov or any other format, even videos can be used) you want to convert to FLV, but dont play that rather bring it in ready to play position. Now launch the sample application page of your Flash communication server, whose default location is (if installed as Enterprise edition on windows):
    C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\flashcom\applications\samples.html
Under guest book sample, there is a link saying Record A List, click on that link, another page will open describing the info of Record a List sample, along with a link at the bottonm saying example_list.html, click on that, anoither window will be launched with some text fields, two buttons & a list box, Enter the name that you want to give to the recorded song in the first field, click on the button labeled Record & then instantly, play the song that you have selected in your media player, let the song play until it ends(however you can stop that any time you want) then press the stop button on the recording page. Thats it, your song has been converted to an FLV file. You can locate that song in the applications\example_list folder\Stream\Room_01\ of your flashcomm's application folder (by default C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash Communication Server MX\flashcom\applications\example_list\streams\room_01 in window) Copy the FLV & bring anywhere you want, the final FLV would be almost equal to he Quallity of your original song but will be about 5% of original Song.

  Enjoy
