Flash 8 use the same AS2 classes for Remoting than Flash 7, so if you want Remoting support for Flash 8, just unzip the source files that you can download from
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flashremoting/downloads/components/ following the instructions in
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flash_remoting/mx2004/readme_source.html . Of course, instead of using [Flash MX 2004]\en\First Run\classes path, use [Flash 8]\en\First Run\classes
About the Remoting connector, just copy swc file from [Flash MX 2004]\en\First Run\Components\Data Components\ folder to [Flash 8]\en\Configuration\Components\Data\ then reboot Flash 8
