Hello,

I have an application that is causing flash player to display the ""Macromedia Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation" warning message and I was wondering if there was a way to override this w/ a publishing setting or an actionscript System command.

It's rather crucial that I kill this error message for our users.

Thanks for your help!

Clem,
Are you using something like say charts in the moive?  Are you using getURL call with javascript? Are you using loadvars calls? Do you get this when playing the movie locally?  Do you get this when running it in the published form off of a web server?
It is a really hard shot in the dark without some more information.  This could be caused by a number of things.  What kind of application/movie is it? Does it run off of a server or off of local machines.  Is it run embeded in a browser of not?

I'm trying the program saved as an .exe file and saved it to a CD and it looks like it runs perfectly w/out any warning dialogue boxes to worry about.

Thanks for your time!

If you are running it on local machines an explorer file can get rid of some of the security limitations.  For future reference most of the problems that cause that error message to arise, could be resolved with "global security settings".  They can only be accessed through this link...

Hello,

I have solved the issue by saving it as an .exe file and it works perfectly.

Thanks again for everyone's time!
