First off - don't hit me, this one isn't free!
I'm planning to offer php/mySQL/cgi hosting for about $25/month. This would include 25megs of storage, and a little over 1gig of transfer/month. Unlimited mySQL databases, ready to install forum, chat, etc. SSH access, as well as ssl. For another $3.00/month, you get your own ip address. SubDomains are included, as well as your own cgi-bin and FrontPage extensions.
unlimited email accounts and email forwarding, mailing list scripts, and a few other goodies.
I plan to add some fla files that would be free to use and modify, as well as possibly including Swift-Generator and Swift-mp3. I still have to work out a deal with the Swift-Tools folks. I'll let anyone interested know what i end up with. I also have a fairly limited plan, 10megs and about 100megs of transfer with all of the above for about $10 a month. Again, don't hit me for posting this non-free solution, but I've tried a few of the free hosts, and they are either so slow it's unbearable or not accepting new accounts anymore.
Just to offer it up (and keep you all from hitting me!) I have a free acount still with F2s.com. As far as I know, they are discontinuing their free service near the end of February. I'm not using the space for anything but a forwarder to my new site, so if any of you would like to use that space, drop me an email(
jrobinso@nycap.rr.com) and I'll set you up with ftp access. The only thing I request is that you keep your stuff in a directory, and leave the forwarder page up.
