well kate pop, i too have tried portland server and i used their support to ask them y sendmail doesnt work and they said that it only works for paid hosting so better luck...

theres a host in that link i provided that supports sendmail but not FULL FTP ... you will understand wat i mean by FULL FTP ACCESS after u read my thread

Many disadvantages like:

when trying to view your site it redirects you to: http://hostrocket.com/products/economy.htm
That's really annoying!

NO FTP access!
That's really annoying!

NO MySql database!
DAmn i would have loved it.

mail() function doesnt work
why why why?

NO ADS .. oh REALLY??
they definatly place an add on your website. --> free webhosting by hostrocket.com + 50% of the time it redirects you to their hosting plans (read above)


If they should mind getting rid of these disadvantages it would be an awesome host though...

Yup. Basically I dont think there is any FREE server that can give everything for nothing... I htink you gotta pay a little atleast to have some space with sufficient bandwidth AND these features..

I found a great php, cgi and MySQL, free, REALLY WORKING web host - http://www.portland.co.uk/
And there are no advertisments on your sites  

PHP, Perl, and other CGI executables other than Escapade are not supported or allowed on Free Webhosting.
