I have a project that requires me to load information into Flash from an XML file. Trouble is I have very limited knowledge in this department. I have found two tutorials. One is from Macromedia that shows how to create an FLV Playlist from a List Component, SWF, and XML. I have configured it and have it up and running.

However, no I need to pull in additional text and images when the video is selected from the list. Each video has aprox 4-5 images and several text areas that need to appear while the video is playing. I have 40+ videos that need to be configured this way. The good thing is that the image assets and text and formated the same for every video.

I have worked through the Loading XML data into flash tutorial provided by this site. It is awesome! However, I do not know how to make the two tutorials work together. How do I call the information out of the XML when a video is selected from my list component.

I know I am in over my head. Is there any resources that I could study to become more familiar with this?

Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Usually tutorials explain foundation, and the merge (aka knowledge or expertise) mature with time+experience, something difficult to teach

even if it sounds boring: programming is not a cut and paste job.
What we offer here is help for learning - the learning part has to be done on your side.
We give you hints and directions, from where you can learn how things are working.
If you want us to write individual solutions, some of us offer this service as paid individual service Wink
Sometimes things become more complex as you thought at the beginning - this is the daily life of a programmer, what we all have to live with.
In this case you got to put some more effort and time into it, or hire help.
