Hi, I am a relative beginner and I'm unable to get the custom text to appear in the ecard. The text appears at the bottom of the email, and not in the card.

I have changed the actionscript to be LoadVars and it still didn't work.  Can anyone help please?

Huh

Since the text is inmediatly sended by email, should be stored somewhere to be loaded when user comes to see online. This is done in txt files in a folder named dbText. In this case the txt should be in http://www.beloopi.com/ECards/dbText/1234134006.txt

Check if you follow point 3 of readme
Quote
3)  Create a directory called 'dBText' within the Ecards directory.  You need to change the permissions of this directory.  Basically you have to allow others to write information to this directory.  The easiest way to do this is to use an ftp program such as ws_ftp or cute_ftp.  The owner permissions should be set to read, write, and execute.  The other permissions should be set to read and write.  In most cases you can do this by right clicking on the directory you just created and selecting chmod - then you can check off the check boxes that correspond to those directory permissions.  If you are having trouble with this just check off all the boxes or use Telnet to change the permissions on this directory to 777.  (Note 777 should probably only be used for testing, since it can become a security issue).

I have already created a 'dBText' directory within the ECards directory and set permissions of the 'dBText' directory to 777.  The text is being written to these files. Here is an example of one:

ToName=will&ToEmail=willsorrell@googlemail.com&FromName=billy&FromEmail=willsorrell@hotmail.com&Greeting=yo there&IntroMessage=how you doin&Created=Ecard Created on Tuesday 10th 2009f February 2009 ( 12:27:50 AM )

To clarify, it is still not working even though I have done all of the things listed above.

 Undecided

I'm having issues too. The text won't display despite double-checking the permissions on the folder AND the php files, making sure the Ecards and the dBText folder have the correct letter cases, the urls in the text files also have the correct cases, my host DOES proved PHP service, the text file is being written to the dBText folder...This is ridiculously frustrating.  Huh

http://www.justlizzay.com/Ecards/SelectCard.php?EcardText=1251901049&ENum=2

Code:
ToName=ToLiz&ToEmail=lbrungraber@avsgroup.com&FromName=FromLiz&FromEmail=justlizzay@hotmail.com&Greeting=Greeting in a box.&IntroMessage=Message in a box.&Created=Ecard Created on Wednesday 02nd of September 2009 ( 10:17:29 AM )

it looks like you are searching the text at somesite.com - this is just a sample name, which has to be replaced by your domainname.

You'll find this inside of your flash file
