I just embedded a simple Flash movie into a web page.  Is there a way to insure that it plays in most browsers including mobile?  If someone cannot view Flash, is there a way to set a still image in its place?
Thank you in advance for any direction.

look for flash player detection - if the flashplayer is not installed, or too old, you can redirect to an image.
Adobe help gives you some code.
