I've made a pretty intense flash weather video for a friend. I have a flash player.swf loading a .flv which ends in a xml slide show. The movie can be a little over powering if the viewer comes to the site many times day. So I need to make a cookie that could mute all sounds for 24hrs, that would be ideal.

I have a preview of the video up at:
www.kindair.org/weather

I've found a tutorial on flash cookies, ( http://www.tutcity.com/view/flash-cookies.11455.html ) but requires the user to hit a button in order for the cookie to call up the php. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the 24hr mute cookie I refered to or could point in the right direction of how to?

Thanks so much for your time,
Jonra

If you like to use this sample, you can trigger it with any event.

For instance onEnterFrame would do it
