I have gotten the Guestbook to work very well but it does not email me when there is a post. Any help would be great.

As far as I know right now, it is not intended to do so.
But if you like, you can make it to mail.

See the mail tutorial. All you need is a tiny little extension to your php script.

But it is important, that you make sure, your hosting provider allows mailing via php script.
