Hi to everyone. I would like to post this question, hoping someone could answer me.
I had read and applied the tutorial called "Saving data from Flash". It work really great and make me possibly to manage a site from a simple form. Well, all the data are storage into a text file (like Notepad), and everything seem ok.

I would like to answer if this way is ok to manage a large amount of data too, or I have to switch to another method like Php/Mysql system (database), and what difference are between both. I'm not so expert in Php/MySql system, so it will be a little bit hard for me, and I don't want to have problems with rich data website in the future.

Repeat, the system with Flash+php+Notepad work really fine until now.

Thanks to all.

Hi chiossone and welcome to the boards.

Using the file system versus using a database employs some deeper questions.

This is about the same, as on your computer at home.
If you can store it as files into your filesystem, this methode might be a good solution, but if you rather need fast access, sorting things, have structured data, they might be better in a database.

We have this loading an saving tutorials.
They give you a basic understanding of the technologies.

If you are new to database in general, try to find a good book on basics about a database.
