hey everyone, i was wondering if anyone can help me.. i did flash guestbook using the source files from flash db, I used the one without mysql as i dont have mysql knowledge. the guestbook http://www.lockerroom.sg/test/guestbook.swf works .

But when i embed the guestbook.swf to my main flash movie site , http://www.lockerroom.sg/test/index.html under the guestbook button - it wont display the names and email on the textbox, even when i have entered the name, email .does anyone knows?

There are tons of questions alike.

This has to do with the access path to the components.

The Guestbook was written for Flash5 and php3.

In the Meantime there is Flash CS5 and php5.

Things have changed - to give you a direction, we'd need your current versions.

But much wiser is, do the loading and saving tutorials.
After you understand how flash communicates to the server, you can adapt this to the guestbook quite easy.

I am new to this anway. I wasnt aware of this whole versions of flash 5 and phps can affect the results. I am using flash 8 by the way.. anyway i seriously this is for client and i am trying to rush this on my side. any good leads can really help cause i dont have much time yet for this project.

Change to LoadVars objects, then you are path independant.
Look into the info file, it tells you differences about using php3, ore later (using $_POST and $_GET)

If you are doing the load and save tutorials, you will understand.
This might take you a day - shouldnt be more.
After you take clients, I suppose, you have a basic understanding of internet and programming.

If you get stuck with the tutorials, just ask here for help.
