Very nice website, your actually doing the same thing I am. But I'm making my own 'Company.' There's really no point to mine except to show off my portfolio from Illustrator, Photoshop and some other programs I've used.

Very nice site, keep up the good work!  Tongue  Wink

P.S. Looks like your a little bit ahead of me in the program. I would be done if I wasn't a perfectionist! I don't have any content on it yet and I'm still looking for ideas besides a Portfolio, Message Board, and About me page. Please give me some ideas, I'd appreciate it.

{edit} Forgot one thing, how do you get the border of the browser to wrap around the Flash. After all the years I've been playing with HTML I've never learned how to do it.  Sad

Hey Edward,

The site looks good.  Techniclly it looks a lot better and is more advanced then quite a few "established" web design companies that have quite a few employee's and clients.

It's weird how that works.  I think the main difference between "Established companies" and companies such as the one you've just started (no offense) - is that the "Established" compainies have an Army of Salespeople that actually go out to small Business's to try to sell their products - in this case "web design".

The hardest part you'll have to worry about when first starting out is finding new Clients, after you've got enough money from working way to much trying to find clients and also do the work - you'll be able to hire salespeople or employees that will help you to obtain new business.

I think that's how it works at least.

Hi Edward!

I am new on this forum and I had to make a few un-nice ramarks on sites I saw. But your site is fresh! It works perfectly and you have a good graphical and animation feeling. And most important - listen Kent - you are a little bit more original than all those 'Flashmasters'. They all use the same copied designs. But your site uses that experience but grows over that.
I am also a small artist trying to make a living. I studied graphical design and audiovisual design at an academie of fine arts. I have my own company now but no fancy expensive people around to sell my product.
I don't advertise because I have too much work already. Don't try to sell. Just show what you can do. Make a good portfolio and just show that. Your work will sell itself. You don't need 'sell talk'. If a product is good, it sells itself. Trust me, I know. It may take a few years but people talk. And before you know it, you are too busy to advertise.
You can, Kent can't. Sorry. Focus on your work, not on the carsalesmentricks!

Oh, about the content: the hardest site to make, is your own.

You're on the right path! Go on, you'll get there!

Grtz,
Sckz
