Alright Troops
Well it's been a few weeks since i last posted here, and here is why. I have been building this site for a m8(Lucky m8) I am looking for some feedback on the site before it goes live. Also if I had done this site for a company how much would i be looking to charge for it?

cheers

I'm not sure how much I would price the site.  A lot of it has to do with the what type of client your developing it for - and how much they can potentially benifit from it's development.

It has quite a few dynamic elements to it though like the guestbook, chat, the login, etc etc so that will increase the price tag.

I know your looking for a definite price - but it's tough to come up with one offhand, mostly due to the fact that their are so many different variables used when pricing a site.

Anyways if anyone else can put a price tag on the site It would be interesting to see.

Hi Paul!

Two things.

1. I can't see anything unless I sign up. What makes you think that I will give you my e-mail address to you to be 'allowed' to see your site? Client-unfriendly! You may be happy that I WANT to look at your site!
2. Why do you use the same graphical forms and pictures I see on every 'FlashGuru' site? Don't you have an own imagination?

About the price: count the hours you worked on it. Substract the hours that you spent learning Flash, multiply it by an hourly rate and you have you price.

Cheers,

Hi Jonathan, can i just say that the login on the site is not compulsery which is mention at the login, you can view the site with logging an email address.  All that is asked is that you give a nickname.  The Site is still very experimental(Would like to have it like Jeff has here, with who's online ect).  I am lost as to your next comment

What do you mean.  The same pics and forms ?
Can you explain what you mean.

Cheers for the input anyway.

Hi Paul!

Thanx for your reaction. After I read your explanation I signed in. But without, I quit. You don't want your viewers to quit. Explain why they have to sign in or let them visit as guest. Now I saw the whole site, I take back a part of what I said.
Mm, my English. With the word 'form' I meant style or maybe touch. In a lot of "Cool Flash Site Links" I follow, I always find that same style. I mean that kind of Operating System, machinery, robot sci-fi style. Mostly in blue tints. Take a look at:

http://www.2advanced.com/

There are a lot of these sites. Yours - in first check - looked very like that. Now I saw that you are a little more creative. But it is still that same Flashy style. Do you understand me?
You're very talented if you can make a site like yours but I miss the creativity in style.

I have no idea if I'm making myself clear. If you look at all the links of Flash sites, you see so much of the same. Try to think first. Forget everything you ever saw. Make your own ideas and then use your very high level knowledge of Flash!

But your own site is hard to make. I also started - finally - to make my site. You can see the intro at:
www.venividivideo.nl/new

I think you can do better than what I see on your site. I see a lot of talent in you, but too shy to make something new. But I know you can!

I hope that you get my point. If not, let me know and I'll try to explain it to you better.

Grtz,

Hi Paul,
I took a look at your site.  As has been mentioned, I don't find it nice to ask the user for his e-mail address to view your site.  You must leave the option to the user if he wants to sign the guestbook or not.

On the whole I liked your site, but maybe you can add some colour to the backround, would make it more interesting.  Also the fonts you used on your site, I would have used something more flashy, but that is me.  I liked a lot the way they menus open, I found that original enough

Keep up the good work mate

Hey guys cheers for the feedback and Jonathan I know what your talking about the the style of the site.  I have visited 2advanced many times(SHIT HOT SITE).  I am still just a baby flasher :) and i am finding it a lot easier to learn flash from looking at other flsh sites.  I have been learning flash for 3 years mostly trial and error and downloading a lot of tuts from flashkit.  I am well aware that i need to build something that is from me.  All the work that i have done so far has been from what i have seen elsewere on the net.  The Flash site will be my portfolio site, it's due a major overhaul since i have learned loads in the past 6 months with actionscript ( I love ActionScript).  Anyways Cheers again for the feedback guys, and i will be making adjustments to the site with what you have suggested, well as soon as my moniter is fixed.  I am using an old moniter that won't let me allow for a screen res above 640x480 :(

cheers again
And if you would like to have a sniff at my portfolio site here's the addy

Remember i needs an overhaul.
