This is just a list of socket servers avaible to use with Flash. With a socket server you can manage persistent connections needed to support multiuser applications like games or chats.

Flash Media Server, Red 5 and Wowza are more than just socket servers, but streaming servers also

The original post is from 2003, so consider that some of the server are not more available, while probably they are other new ones

Hey KathleenJL, just in case, this thread is 8 years old so it's likely that some of these products don't exist any more.
What are you after?
For developing multi-user games, I heard Player.IO is rather good. I haven't used it though.
