I think that red is too harsch for the BG.  I think that the layout could work, but the transitions to the content are uninspired and uninteresting.  Doesn't have the 'mojo-working'...

I think that if you avoid the black text, and rebuild the content display, you'll get by just fine!

Overall - very nice. I like the red blocks. The only things I noticed were a few little things.
the data/time font, it looks like you're using the device font. On my machine, the date and time overlap, making a mess.
You definitely need to get the portfolio up for the graphic design section.

It looks like you have a button waiting in the web design section, for a portfolio possibly?

In the moving pictures section, the font is different on the menu.

In the contact section, I would combine the form with the info that comes up first. Ie, have the form there, and the telephone and email at the bottom. I'd make the static email selectable, just in case.  Why is the news section in the contact area? I'd put that somewhere right on the first part, so when it changes, people see that the site has been updated since they last visited.

The size is also a bit small. Since you left the scaler thing on the window, why not make the movie 100%, so when you drag the window out/bigger the site gets bigger as well?

Lastly, on the main menu, maybe have the buttons screened way back, when you aren't over them, and then transition them in on rollover.
