I have found a serious issue when using the php/mysql database method.

If you use Netscape, Opera, or Mozilla, the variables are not filled in when viewing the card. You can see this by visiting the following link in either of these platforms:

I found out what the problem was in view.php you will find the following:

<embed src="<? print $ecardno; ?>.swf?
sendersname=$sendersname&recieversname=$recieversname&  ..."

This needs to be updated to read:

<embed src="<? print $ecardno; ?>.swf?<? print "
sendersname=$sendersname&recieversname=$recieversname&  ..."; ?>"

What is happening is in IE it sill sends the information contained in each variable to the Flash Card, but not in the other browsers. The 1st code box wasnt' sending the data in each variable but instead the variable names. You need to tell it to print the data contained in the variables as the second section of code demonstrates.

One last thing i just found in the send.php file.

Find the following line at the bottom section:

$EmailBody = "Hello $revieversname,\n

This should read as follows:

Code:

$EmailBody = "Hello $recieversname,\n

As it is now, top line, the receivers name isn't put into the email message that is sent.

How do you display the cards to the users for them to pick from with this tutorial? Do you create another page, do you edit the other sendcard?

No files are provided to do so, and no refrence in the tutorial.html
