no, im using mx, is it only the php script that is messed up? i thought i changed everything in there except for comments.  ill check again.  If thats not it what else do i have to change?

Hi John,
I thought you are using Flash 5, 'cause you are using old structures.
Instead of using loadVariablesNum and VariableNames it is better, and easyer to handle to use the loadVars object and the load method of it and to use instance names for fields.

Your textfield for the message was defined as single line, thats why you could not see linebreaks.

Just overhaul the whole thing Wink a little on both ends.
