Can I use flash remoting AS1 and publish it on AS2?

Hi to all,

Honestly speaking I'm just new in the world of flash remoting.. Here is my problem

I have designed a flash application (a setup wizard) and I use Flash MX 2004 components for my forms and for the other sections of the application.. So in flash I publish it using AS2 so the components will work, however I still use Flash Player version 6 not 7 on the Publising settings.

Now I will pass this application to our flash programmer and he will code it so the application can connect to the DB and send / receive the needed data. He will be using flash remoting but currently he only knows flash remoting for AS1, my question is, is that possible? Coding on flash remoting AS1 but publishing it on AS2..

I hope that you can help me guys, I know that I can replace my components w/ those on flash mx, but It will be hard and I don't have access to all of MX components.

AS2 components will work on Flash Player 6.0.79, previous version simply can't view it, that's the reason you can set AS2 with Flash player 6. You can still use AS1 Remoting components even publishing as AS2 (they're only code library's)
