hey jay i am haveing the same problem with getting the cams to turn off. i want a way for the user or viewer to be able to turn off the cam they are looking at. i am useing embed video.

what happens now is when someone looks at the others cam and that person leaves then there is a still frame left of that person. or when i turn off my cam it turns off the icon that i am no longer showing but i still have a active cam.

hello...yes i can help you, but to be honest i am a little unsure of your problem so i went to your website to try and see what you meant, but i cannot find a link to get into the chat room. Is your chat room up yet? so if you could please try and explain what your problem is....a little more detail please. It doesn't sound like the same problem that Jeppy is having....or am I wrong?


BTW....you site looks good....nice layout.

hey jay did you register with the site. once you do that then you should see the login at the center bottom of the page. and thanks for the comment on the layout of the site.

ok again what is happening is when someone comes to to chat and i view there cam and they leave  there is a still picture of them in the video area when they leave or turn off there cam. and when i turn on my cam and turn it off with the publish/stop publish button i have it does not turn the cam off local side. no one can see me publishing the cam but i can still see my cam in the video area. i guess you can say that flashcom is not closeing or relaesing the stream.

oh ok, mine does the same thing, but I have never thought of it as a problem though. I guess it would be nice for it do go back to a starting point or something. I think there is a couple ways we could do this. I think maybe a mask and or a new layer or something that would be called to when the net stream is closed.

Here is what I can do....

I will create a test app tomorrow morning when I get up. Some simple with a login and embedded video. I will post a link for you, and anyone else in the world to down load it, and then we can fiddle with it and see what we come up with. I don't think this will be that hard....but I have been wrong befofe...lol.

I think we can do it....what do you think?
