    TextInput.setStyle
    « on: 01/16/07, 12:35 »
    Hi there,
I want to be able to setStyle to a TextInput UI component in Flash 8.  Everything works fine but I don't want to set a _global style.  I just want the "CSS" or attributes for a few of the TextInput boxes in my movie clip.

Can this be done?  I don't know what the ________.style.TextInput.setStyle would be.  I've tried the component name (I gave it) I've tried this. but those aren't it apparently.

    Thanks,
    YoonMi

then you just define it in the scope where you have the textboxes.
you dont have to make them global.
The sense of making them global just is, thatyou can access them from any component, just as you like.

hello yoonmi welcome aboard!!! i'm afraid you have to set the style for each component unless there is some way to set the style for a few components yep how bad, but well use the common syntax:

    myText.setStyle("border","")

    cheers!!! andres
