whiteboard not working over localhost

when i started to do the whiteboard with FMS, i could play the whiteboard with my other friend over localhost. but now. it seems that my friend is not getting the signal of the whiteboard. why is that so? is it the localhost?FMS? or codes in the whiteboard that is disabling the multiuser function? thanks

how does your friend connect to your localhost

This only works, if he is in the same network or VPN and addresses your computer.

If he is outside of your house, he has no chance finding your PC, unless you have a VPN tunnel running.

im using wampp to connect and we are over in the intranet in other words we are in the same network. i have wampp server on and fms on too.

does he receive an error message?
can he connect to other resources at this server?
did he install a local firewall recently?
did he install a new virus protection suite?
did you, at the server, do something alike?
can somebody else in the same network use the service?

no one else in the network/intranet is able to.
and he did not get an error in the whiteboard, it just that the the whiteboard component (light_mc aka the small circle which turns green if you can use and red if are unable).
my computer is able to use but not the rest.
i had both FMS on and wampp(something like apache) on.
