    Flash forum help for ultra-newbie
    « on: 04/07/10, 06:22 »
    Hi,
I'm a newbie to web design or forums, so I apologize in advance if for any stupid questions or wrong etiquette.
I was looking for a very basic and free flashed based forum software/code and found flash-db.  Your software looks great, and seems to be exactly what I was looking for!

I read the directions and have done as follows:
Created a folder called Forum in my public.html folder
    Created 4 folder within it called Catagory1, 2, 3, 4
    Changed Catagory1, 2, 3 , 4 folder to 777 permissions
    Uploaded files -Forum.php and Forum.swf

I have opened them and looked at them, but that is where I have become a little lost.  Again, I apologize as this may seem really stupid, but what do I do now to make it work?

I used CoffeCup software to create my website.
All of my files go to my public.html folder.
How do I get the forum to show up in one of one of my website pages?  (The easiest and most basic way is fine with me).

    I hope this makes sense.

Thanks so much for anyone's help.

if you dont know hoe to embed flash content to a html page, just use the flash publish button.
It creates a html page with the content embeded.

Just upload this page, create a link at your index.html file to point ther - thats it.
    happy flashing
