    How to create Meta Tags?

    Hi,

    How to Creat Meta Tags?

    Is there any problem with Wrting Meta tags like
    <meta name "Description" content "Domain Description"> </ meta>

    Becoz am having trouble with Google, My Meta tags are not captured properly, Place of Meta Description take alt tag

    Please help me in this case ..

    The most important thing about Meta tags is that it should give search engines an idea as to what your website is all about. That is why it is vital that the Meta tags are strictly related to your content. Doing otherwise may lead to negative problems. The meta tag should include the title, description and keywords that is related to your website content. Having different web pages on your site on specific topics may help in search engines ranking your website.

    You could write your meta tags like that but the older versions of HTML that Internet Explorer 6 and 7 have doesn't accept the meta tag that you have gave us. The proper way to write a meta tag is like this.

    <meta name="description" content="website description" />
    <meta name="keywords" content="keyword, keyword, keyword" />

    That is how you would write your meta tag. The meta tags basically give Google more information about your website by giving it some DESCRIPTION about it and gives Google some KEYWORDS. But be sure to use the keywords wisely. You don't want GIRLS as a keyword in a BOYS website. Other than that, awesome question.
