upload troubles since flash 10

Hello all

i guess many of you encountered the latest flash player issue, regarding upload troubles...i'm working on it for 2 days without any results...does someone has somehting to propose to fix this matter ?

the troubles are that 8 times on 10 the upload doesn't complete

when the upload is complete, the listener onComplete is not called

you want the code ? basically this is the upload code found on this forum....

it has been working fine for months, and i didn't made any changes in the upload code. I've been testing with IE8, FF3, OPERA9, each time same result...and each time i'm starting upload, browser will take 50% cpu, but i don't have error message saying that "a script may slow the animation etc...'

Quick testing here http://www.flash-db.com/Tutorials/upload/ seems to work on Firefox and IE8 (Flash Player 10) I have not heard about specific new problems in the last Flash Player 10 (but some mention on Mac)

i had an IO error when trying to upload a 1.5Mo jpg file...do you think it can comes from my connection ?

I/O errors are local and usually means that the flash player have problems reading some file. When it starts it usually tend to persist until you close/reopen the browser. Don't know exactly what makes the flash player fails in reading, but it happens sometimes

can you please check at the following url if you can upload pictures bigger than 2 or 3 Mo...for me it hangs with file of 1Mo...:

as i'm in thailand it might come from my connexion..i have a quit descent 3mbps connection with between 60 and 100k upload, but quality may change sometimes...

if it works for you i think it means problem is related to my connection

Check your php.ini settings for max_file_upload size,probably it limit the size, also if it takes more than 30 seconds, probably timeout fires

i forgot to mention that i have this on top of my php upload page:

ini_set( "max_execution_time", "3600" );
ini_set("memory_limit",400000000);
ini_set("max_input_time",300);
ini_set("set_time_limit",300);

and the max file size is set to 200mo

it should be enough ?
