Does anybody knows how to replace the internet explorer (or Navigator) icon that is in the Address field near http:// with another icon?  I wish to display my logo near my address, is it possible?

-Don't buy any software or anything else to do this.  You can do everything without buying anything.  So even if somewhere suggests you buy some icon editing software or even pay to have one of these things made - Don't.  Just search for a way that lets you do this for free.

hey, this sounded really interesting to me so i went and tried it,

i made an ico file and put it up on my site, but i don't see it.  
yahoo is suppose to have one too, but i can't see it either.
is it maybe because i'm on a mac?

if this is the issue, could some nice people on PC's go and look at  http://www.egilitydesign.com and tell me if they see my icon?  and how can i make this work on a mac?

Nope - didn't see anything their.  I think it should work as long as your using IE.  I don't think this works on Netscape though.

nah man i use IE too but i got da latest version maybe it all depends on da version of IE u got cause i does not see da one on yahoo eitherso maybe it all depends on da version of IE u got.

and if u do read it too u will see dat for someone to see da .ico file when they add the link to favourites it ONLY appears with people with IE 5, so maybe dats why people cant and u cant see maybe wat ever one because its all depends on the version of IE u have for the following ones either as Johann Montfort or the link above.

well, i did figure it out,
first off, it only works on PCs
second, you have to bookmark the page before you will see the icon, kind of annoying but that's the way it goes
