Number of Topics per page in FORUM

Hi,
i'm trying to get my forum (from this site http://www.flash-db.com/Forum/)
to only show 5 posts per page rather than the original 11.  I know i have to edit the php file also, but i've tried that and am still unsuccessfull.. if you need me to post some code let me know.. thanks.
