The components area is one of the older areas on Flash-db. In the near future we will be adding to the library in two different ways. The first is with more user contributed components that are really useful but do not deal with using external data sources. The second way we will be adding to the components library is by adding new Flash MX 2004 examples of connecting components to data sources (web services, xml, and database). The MX04 examples will contain the actionscript and server side code needed to work, however the actual components will not be available to download (this is because they are all included in MX04 or in a DevNet Resource Kit (DRK). We will only offer the actual code needed - because they are commercial components. This collection is a library of relatively simple examples using external text files, flash remoting, web services, and/or XML to populate various components. The main reason behind this library is so people can become familiar with loading XML/Text/AMF/Soap data into components for future applications.
